In Bloom: A Hand-Painted Window for C.P. Hart, Chelsea

I had such a lovely time with this one.

C.P. Hart - the creators of the most beautiful luxury bathrooms — invited me to create a hand-painted window for their Chelsea store as part of London Design Week. The brief centred around Pantone's Colour of the Year, Cloud Dancer. (Okay, I know it looks white, but I promise the paint was colour matched to the slightly lavender-grey-white. I’m a stickler for detail)

Window painting created by window painter, Willa Gebbie featuring springtime flowers

The team asked me to take inspiration from their neighbouring flower shop and the streets surrounding the store, which were absolutely bursting with spring blossom at the time. So we went for a selection of seasonal flowers.

I love painting on glass. The way the light shifts through it throughout the day makes the piece feel alive, and there's something really special about people discovering it as they walk past.

A huge thank you to the C.P. Hart team for having me along — it was a lovely project and I hope the window brought a little joy to the Chelsea streets this spring. 🌸

If you're a London brand looking for a bespoke window painting or seasonal installation, feel free to get in touch — I'd love to hear about your project.

x, Willa
